Be cunning, play smart, and become versed in craps the proper way!
Dice and dice games goes back to the Middle Eastern Crusades, but current craps is just about a century old. Current craps formed from the old Anglo game called Hazard. Nobody absolutely knows the birth of the game, although Hazard is said to have been created by the Anglo, Sir William of Tyre, in the twelfth century. It’s supposed that Sir William’s soldiers wagered on Hazard amid a blockade on the castle Hazarth in 1125 AD. The name Hazard was gotten from the fortification’s name.
Early French colonists brought the game Hazard to Nova Scotia. In the 18th century, when driven away by the English, the French moved down south and found refuge in southern Louisiana where they after a while became Cajuns. When they were driven out of Acadia, they brought their favored game, Hazard, with them. The Cajuns streamlined the game and made it more mathematically fair. It is said that the Cajuns altered the name to craps, which was gotten from the term for the bad luck toss of snake-eyes in the game of Hazard, known as "crabs."
From Louisiana, the game moved to the Mississippi river boats and across the country. A great many think the dice builder John H. Winn as the founder of current craps. In 1907, Winn assembled the current craps setup. He appended the Do not Pass line so gamblers could bet on the dice to lose. Afterwords, he created the spots for Place bets and put in place the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
